The problem

Technology is rarely the reason businesses struggle

Most businesses do not struggle because they lack technology. They struggle because the business grew faster than the IT did.

Nobody made a bad decision. Things got added one at a time, each sensible on the day, and nobody has had a spare month to stand back and look at the whole thing. That is the month we spend for you — and what comes out of it is stability, not a list of projects to buy.

  • Better visibility of security and operational risk
  • Consistent device and identity management
  • Support that understands regulated environments

AI integration

AI that does the work without exposing the data

Our customers are not asking for an AI project. They want AI that does something useful and does not create a problem their auditor will find later. We are a security-first managed services provider, so we do it in that order — assess, secure, then deploy.

AI does not create new data risks. It exposes the risks that already exist.

How we integrate AI securely →

SharePoint data exposure review
Document libraries, inherited permissions, external sharing configurations and legacy anonymous links.
Knowledge structure review
Whether SharePoint sites, Teams channels and libraries are organised well enough to produce reliable AI responses.
AI governance review
Tenant configuration, access controls and administrative policy governing how AI interacts with your data.
Deployment readiness summary
A structured report with identified risks and a practical improvement plan before Copilot is enabled.

Questions

What people ask before they move

Will moving to you mean downtime?

No. Every business that has moved to us has done so without losing working time — every one, no exceptions. We plan the move around your working week, do everything that can be done in the background first, and keep the existing arrangement running until the new one is proven.

Is there an onboarding fee?

No. There is no onboarding fee, no setup charge and no minimum head count.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Everything is set out and agreed in writing before anything is signed. If something falls outside what we have agreed, we tell you before we do it, not after. Our prices are published rather than held back for a quote.

What does it cost?

Support on its own is £19.99 per user, per month. A fully managed endpoint is £39.99 per user, per month. The full breakdown, including backup and connectivity, is on our what it costs page.

How quickly do you fix things?

Every ticket gets a priority when it is raised, and each one carries a fix target as well as a response target. A fault stopping the business is answered within 1 hour and fixed within 4. We report against these targets every month.

Is your service desk in the UK?

Yes. It is UK based, and you speak to the people who look after your systems rather than a queue that hands you on.

What accreditations and experience do you have?

Cyber Essentials certified, ISO 27001 aligned, ICO registered ZC071809, Ofcom registered and a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider. Behind that is over twenty years working in IT for some of the UK’s largest managed service providers, including BT and Thales UK, on mission-critical services and accounts. Commstec has supported Sheffield businesses since 2017.

How long is the contract?

Twelve months, with a sixty day guarantee.

Which areas do you cover?

Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley and across South Yorkshire. There are pages for Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley.

Do we have to use Microsoft?

No. We manage both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
